BestBus is operated by
Siam Yachting Co., Ltd., Thailand, which is the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions or requests:

What we collect
- Booking details: passenger name, email address, phone number, the trip (from, to, date, time, operator), seats, price and booking number.
- Chat messages: what you write to our assistant or our staff on bestbus.me, LINE or other messaging apps, and the account ID and display name that app gives us.
- Payment status: whether a booking is paid. Card and bank details are entered on our payment partner's page; BestBus does not receive or store them.
- Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, collected with Google Analytics.
- Ratings and feedback you choose to give after a trip.
Why we use it
- To find trips, hold seats, issue your ticket and send it to you (performing the booking you ask for).
- To send booking emails and reminders before departure and before a seat hold expires.
- To answer your questions and help with changes, refunds and boarding.
- To keep accounting records required by Thai law.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (our legitimate interest); you can block analytics cookies in your browser.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising by other companies.
Who receives it
- The bus operator of your trip, and our booking and payment partner that connects us to the operators' ticketing systems: the passenger and trip details needed to issue and check the ticket.
- Service providers working for us: cloud hosting, email delivery, an AI service that drafts chat replies and translations, Google Analytics, and the messaging app you use (for example LINE). They may process data outside Thailand, under contracts that protect it.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Booking records: as long as Thai accounting and tax rules require.
- Chat conversations: as long as useful for support on your bookings; you can ask us to delete them.
- Analytics data: according to Google Analytics retention settings (14 months at most).
Your rights
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) you can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent you gave. Write to admin@bestbus.me from the email address of your booking or quote your booking number; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) of Thailand.
AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT)
When you ask an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT about our buses, it can look up departures through our server (details). We receive only the towns, date, number of passengers and language it sends; we log these with the assistant's name to count usage, without names, contact details or IP addresses. The web server log keeps the request for 14 days, as for any visit. Your conversation with the assistant stays with that assistant; booking happens on bestbus.me under this policy.
Cookies and local storage
The booking app stores a session ID, your language and theme in your browser so your search continues where you left it. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. No advertising cookies are used.
Changes
We update this page when our practices change; the date at the top shows the latest version.

ผู้ช่วย AI (Claude, ChatGPT)
